Technology & Innovations
technology for sustainable solutions. The simple manual push of a switch unit transmits a radio signal to a receiver.
What are the benefits?
Lowered Energy costs. Meets environmental standards
Rising energy costs require new concepts for the most efficient use of energy. Increasing environmental standards are met simultaneously clear.
Reduced installation costs. Increased flexibility.
Radio stations in complex systems are usually wire consuming. Cables are expensive, inflexible and at inaccessible places not at all or difficult to use. The SEMD technology is the ideal alternative.
How gets the energy generated?
Our energy-autonomous wireless technology is a special discipline in the field of energy harvesting. This refers to the generation of electricity taken out of the environment (e.g. temperature, vibration or air currents). With the SEMD technology a manual push on the switch unit is needed, to generate enough energy for a radio signal. The self-powered wireless technology eliminates unwanted limitations of wired power supply or maintenance exhausting batteries by a simple finger push. Therefor SEMD devices operate completely independently. They are completely maintenance free no need to monitor or replace batteries.
How can wireless technology be used?
The radio signal is using the frequency bands 868 MHz and 315 MHz and therefore usable worldwide. The telegrams are only 1 ms, which is about 100 times shorter than the signal of a conventional radio button. To avoid transmission error, the message is randomly within about 30 ms repeated twice. Since the data packets are sent at random intervals, the collision probability is very low. In this way hundreds of wireless switches and sensors can be easily installed in confined spaces and operated parallel. The range of wireless sensors is 300 m outdoors and up to 30 m inside a building.
